Information On Joining the Great Western Flat-Coated Retriever Club

Thank you for your interest in the Great Western Flat-Coated Retriever Club. The GWFCRC has been in existence for over 20 years, bringing together Flat-Coated Retriever fanciers in the greater Southern California area for regular meetings, dog events and social events.

The Great Western Flat-Coated Retriever Club is made up of owners of much loved pets, persons interested in competing in various areas of the sport of dogs and of breeders of quality Flat-Coats. The membership has in common a love for the Flat-Coat breed and wishes to protect it from the follies of uninformed and uncontrolled breeding practices.

A primary goal of the GWFCRC is to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the Flat-Coated Retriever breed and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.

You may want to request two sample newsletters in order to acquaint you with our club. Be sure to look for information about upcoming meetings and events in the newsletter. We would like to extend a special invitation to you and your family to come out and join us at any of our club activities. These activities are a good opportunity to see many different Flat-Coated Retrievers and meet active Flat-Coat owners and breeders.

Attached to one of the sample newsletter will be a GWFCRC membership application. To apply for membership, you need two GWFCRC member sponsors. In addition you will need to sign and abide by the GWFCRC Code of Ethics. So come on out to one of the club events listed in the event calendar of every newsletter and get to know us.
